I was born in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. A fluent Welsh speaker I worked on Welsh TV as a child before moving to Maidenhead at 16 to attend Redroofs Theatre School Students, alongside world class actors Kate Winslet, Kris Marshall and Joanne Froggatt… a very exciting time to attend the school.
On Graduating I was cast as Eggletina in the BBC adaptation of The Borrowers alongside Ian Holm and Penelope Wilton which cemented my love for TV and film.
I have been an actress for the last 40 years working in TV, Film, Theatre, Commercials and Radio.
Some of my credits include a Radio 4 play “Smelling of Roses” alongside Prunella Scales. Nina in Departures, HTV. Vicki in Who Needs Enemies, Feature Film and most recently Grace’s mother in Consecration, Feature film. I’m currently working on a new TV pilot which due to NDA I’m sworn to secrecy.
I also work as a child acting coach for Film & TV - my credits include Extraction 2, The Secret of Marrowbone and Hamnet.
As an actor I supported my career by teaching drama at various performing arts schools and also chaperoning children on major film sets.
In 2017 I was asked if I would be acting coach on a feature film called “The Secret Of Marrowbone” a fabulous thriller by director and writer Sergio G Sanchez and an A list cast. This brought together my passion for acting and teaching in a place that I love…. A movie set.
Since then I have been building up credits as an on set acting coach recently working on Extraction 2 for Netflix with Chris Hemsworth.
I am married to actor Ian Pirie. We met working on Phantom of The Opera in the West End.
Ian’s credits include Valjean in Les Mis, Quasimodo in Notre Dame, West End. Royal Shakespeare Company.
Die Another Day, Guilt and most recently in The Gold BBC and The Catch Channel 5.
